1. Find five words in Scene One that you think best describe the MOOD and TONE of the play. Make a list in your journal. 2. Make a character map for the main characters in the play. We will add details as we read the play. Put Walter Lee in the middle of your map and add pictures of each character. REFLECTION #1: 1. Choose your favorite line from scene 1. Write it down and explain why you chose it. 2. Write about anything that happened in the scene that made you raise your eyebrows. 3. What evidence tells you that Walter Lee feels a lot of pressure? (things he says and does) Who or what is making him feel this pressure? 1. Choose 1 word to represent your New Year's Resolution.
