Children's Book Week is coming and we are going to celebrate! Children's book week has been around for 98 years!! Children’s Book Week is the longest-running national literacy initiative in the country. Every year, events are held nationwide at schools, libraries, bookstores, homes.
Prompt: Tell me about your favorite picture book. Who read it to you? What did you like about this book? Did you have a favorite character? Did it teach you a lesson? Type this prompt in Google Docs, add a picture of your book and share it with me. I will print and post your work in celebration of Children's Book Week. It is 20 years from now. Your name has just been called and you are about to receive an award. Tell the story of how you came to be so successful and win this award.
