Proverbs are sayings that convey important lessons using metaphor and imagery. Here is an example: Don't set sail using someone else's star. Meaning: Avoid copying someone else. Just because someone else has found success doing something, it doesn't mean that is your path.
Some people believe it's better to grow up in a small town. Others think it's better to grow up in a big city. What's your position on this issue and what reasons support this issue?
